Foam

Playing around with all these foam scraps I got from a factory. Nice to try out a new material - and also combining it with my good old favorite: plaster. We'll see what happens. Degree show is getting very close all of a sudden so just experimenting with no particular spectacular idea in mind feels a bit scary at this point, but hopefully it will all be fine.

Soooo I'm back - at least for now :) This last year is proving to be quite busy! But with dissertation out of the way I'll hopefully remember to update the blog more often.
These are some experiments with plaster and ink on different objects instead of my poured plate-like pieces. The romanesco cauliflower cast is from my classmate Annie.

Can't seem to stop myself from making these - really love the process of opening them up and discovering the print. Often a delightful surprise, but sometimes they also just aren't working - but that makes it even better when some of them turn out great.
BTW - feel free to re-blog, pin and so on, but please give me the credit - have one of these pieces circulating on tumblr with 50000 re-bogs/likes and counting - would be even more awesome if anyone knew I'd made it!
