UAL Now at Art15
Was representing University of the Arts in their yearly exhibition of graduates. A very different experience from the venues I would usually exhibit at. Lovely to meet the 12 other artists selected. Sorry about the pinkish looking pictures :)

Playing with placements and combinations...
Wanted to see how my plaster-ink works would look when mixed with the 3D prints...just "sketches" at this point...

More 3D printing
Some of the fired results. As you can maybe tell from the photos I was very into the "mistakes" the machine made. Also threw a photo of my workspace in there.

This is the other piece I showed in the degree show. It was two halves of the same piece , shown in separate rooms in the exhibition.
These 3 pictures above are from the Autumn Exhibition at Den Frie in Copenhagen in October/November. For this exhibition I chose to show the pieces together to show the process of making more clearly....wouldn't necessarily have put the 2 pieces right next to each other, but oh well :) My camera of course died when I wanted to take photos so here are my emergency photos from my phone.
Final piece
Since graduating I haven't posted anything and I really kind of forgot about this blog a bit. But it feels like it's time to pick up again. First things first - I never posted a picture of the finished installation of my final piece, not the greatest photos, but here it is!

Getting ready for the degree show
Setting up for the final show is proving to be a very bitter sweet experience.... It feels great to see my pieces go up on the walls, see everybody working towards a common goal, staying in college till it closes every evening, going to the pub after to unwind, discuss plans, squeeze the last few hours out of the few days we have left. But the thought that it'll all be over so soon is really really sad.
The tiles I'm making are made out of plaster and all hand painted with black ink. The different colours are due to the ink reacting in different ways to moisture in the plaster or from a window e.g.
The tiles mounted on the walls by the window (the picture above is not of the finished work) is one of 2 pieces I will be showing. I've made approximately 150 tiles.
